Kay Youngdahl Blohowiak

Hello-
After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Chemistry in 1983 and Texas A&M University with a PhD in Chemistry in 1987, I moved out to Seattle for a couple of years. I worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Washington in Materials Science and Engineering from 1987-1989 and then started working as a Materials Engineer/Chemist for The Boeing Company in 1989 doing research and development in new materials for aircraft structures. The work was kind of fun, so 20 years later, I am still here testing and inventing new materials systems.
I married James Blohowiak in 1990, whom I met at Texas A&M, and have two beautiful, smart, talented children. I spend my days driving them around, supporting their sports and other activities, helping coach my daughters fastpitch softball team, and enjoying the Pacific Northwest outdoors.
We currently live on the south side of Tiger Mountain right outside of Issaquah, Washington. If any of you are ever in the Seattle area, please look us up and we'd be happy to see you!
